Oil reaches the white sand of Pensacola Beach

On June 23, oil from the Gulf oil spill disaster that occurred on April 20 reached the shores of the white beaches.

The Governor of Florida assessed the damage and said that this is the worst damage that has been seen since the disaster. Several health advisories were sent out and multiple parts of the beach were closed because of damage.

The Governor also said that the Florida will be diligent in recovery efforts in the disaster relief and that he is very grateful for all of the people that have contributed to the relief.
